Other Places & Projects

And now it's August

In case you didn't see it yet, my appearance on Story Hour is now up on YouTube. Find me reading a couple of stories here (but definitely watch Douglas Gwilym's wonderful trio of stories first!). Thank you to the Story Hour team for a great experience!

Issue 4 of The Skull & Laurel includes a reprinting of my short story, "Prostheses." I hope readers enjoy! Or have weird dreams full of alien appendages. Either one works for me.

Worldcon is less than a week away! If you're going, I hope to run into you there. If you'd like to meet up onsite, heck, why not shoot me an email? I love to connect with readers, writers, creatives, and fans of all stripes of speculative stuff.

What's new, July 2025

"The City and the Styrofoam Sea" made it to the shortlist for ECO24: The Year's Best Speculative Ecofiction from Violet Lichen. It's so cool to be on this shortlist and in such great company--and congrats to the selected authors and their stories!

I've been invited to read on Story Hour! More details to come soon!

Worldcon 2025

If you're going to be at Worldcon Seattle this year ... well, so am I! I'm looking forward to my first real, live, in-person con--and looking forward to meeting fellow authors, readers, and creative sorts in the flesh. Hope to catch you there!

News, November 2024

I'm excited to share that Apparition Lit has nominated my short story, "The City and the Styrofoam Sea," for the Pushcart Prize. This will be my second short story nominated for the Pushcart. Check out the link above to read it for free!
